Kara Cox is a lifelong beachcomber, giggler, movie lover and stargazer who grew up in the 1970s in a house without a TV. From her early days, Kara was a an avid daydreamer, often making up love stories to pass the time or to help her insomnia. She has always loved to write, from her first locked diary (it had Paddington on the front) to her lengthy Facebook posts to her latest project, a full-length romance novel, written during the 20220-21 quarantine.
She met her husband on a blind date and fell in love with him right then and there. While they were dating, he went to the islands and brought her home a large piece of heart-shaped coral that he found on the beach. Thus began a love of searching for heart shaped things in everyday places.
This blog is dedicated to all of the friends who kept saying, “start a blog, start a blog…” They knew better than I how much I love to create and write. And they also like to cry and laugh at the same time right along with me.
Visit Kara Cox Writes for musings about life, a little dose of empty nest humor, travel ideas and notes from my garden.
And follow @HeydayHeart on Instagram too. And above all, share your heyday with me! I look forward to meeting you.
